Untitled Babak Anvari project is an upcoming horror thriller film written and directed by Babak Anvari. It is based upon the novel The Visible Filth by Nathan Ballingrud. It stars Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson and Zazie Beetz.
It is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2019, by Annapurna Pictures.

Plot
The story follows a New Orleans bartender whose life begins to unravel after a series of disturbing and inexplicable events begin to happen when he picks up a phone left behind at his bar.

Production
In February 2018, it was announced Armie Hammer had been cast in the film, with Babak Anvari writing and directing the film. Megan Ellison, Christopher Topp, and Lucas Toh will produce the film under their, Annapurna Pictures, AZA Films, Two & Two Pictures banners, respectively. In March 2018, Dakota Johnson and Zazie Beetz joined the cast of the film. In April 2018, Karl Glusman, Brad William Henke and Jim Klock joined the cast.
Filming
Principal photography began on April 4, 2018, in New Orleans.
Release
The film is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2019.
